The torsionally flexible, fail-safe shaft coupling POLY-NORM ADR is a compact three-part shaft coupling for torsional vibration-damping power transmission.

The three-part POLY-NORM ADR shaft coupling allows for eliminating positive-locking fit without shifting the driving or driven side axially. The elastomer ring (spider) can be replaced when installed.

POLY-NORM® shaft couplings are characterized by a compact design. The torque is transmitted via elastomers between the cams also serving to offset displacements and dampen shocks and torsional vibrations.

Operation of fail-safe shaft coupling:
The POLY-NORM shaft coupling consists of two hubs half the cams of which are each inserted in the tailor-made free spaces of the other hub.

This compact design of the shaft coupling allows to connect the shafts with a particularly short shaft distance dimension. The elastomer positioned between the cams transmits the torques while compensating for any kind of displacement.

High adaptability with low variance through an optimally differentiated construction kit system: The elements within one size of POLY-NORM® shaft coupling can easily be combined with each other. This allows to realize various shaft distances with the same basic component.
