Higher machining performance, increasing spindle speeds, and growing precision requirements are shaping the machine tool industry. KTR provides backlash-free coupling systems and clamping elements designed to meet these demands: from main spindle drives to positioning units.
What sets KTR apart from other component suppliers is the combination of decades of standards expertise, including involvement in the development of the DIN 69002 short spindle standard, application-specific design for highly dynamic drive conditions, and a comprehensive product range of couplings and clamping elements.
KTR supports designers and engineers with standardized and customized product variants, technical documentation, and configurators for the development of reliable, backlash-free drive solutions.
ROTEX® GS backlash-free servo couplings connect the servo motor and positioning axis without backlash and damp torsional vibrations from the drive train.
ROTEX® couplings compensate for shaft misalignment between the motor and the driven component. They protect bearings and spindles against impermissible loads, primarily in auxiliary drives.
RADEX®-NC backlash-free servo laminae couplings transmit high torques without wear as torsionally rigid steel lamina couplings.
TOOLFLEX® metal bellows-type couplings connect the motor and spindle via a metal bellows that compensates for slight shaft misalignment without losing torsional rigidity.
SYNTEX® backlash-free safety couplings disengage the drive train in the event of overload, for example due to tool breakage or collision. In this way, they protect the spindle, gearbox and motor.
CLAMPEX® clamping sets create a frictionally engaged shaft-hub connection, for example on tool changers or rotary indexing tables, and can be released without destruction.
