Designing of our safety couplings is based on backlash-free, positive-locking ball engagement principles allowing for high repeatability and short response times throughout the entire service life.
If the torque set is exceeded (overload), the ratchet components (balls) of the safety coupling leave their indentations generating a relative movement between driving and driven side. The transmittable torque is reduced to a low residual figure. After eliminating the overload, the ratchet components can re-engage. In this way the safety couplings prevent damage caused by overload reliably.
An optional limit switch provides a signal that can be used for control operations or for switching off the drive.
