The passive brake KTR-STOP XXL-xxx-F is a spring-actuated floating caliper brake.
The brake caliper of KTR-STOP XXL-xxx-F is designed like floating caliper brakes having the benefit to operate free from axial forces. This prevents damage on the drive train, even if there is an incorrect setting or an error in the installation. The option of setting the air gap under pressure reduces the maintenance times and downtimes.
The brake KTR-STOP XXL-xxx-F is a typical holding brake that is used on the high-torque side. All features of this brake are designed to operate reliably under adverse environmental conditions and to produce low operating costs.
The selected materials and the design of the caliper have the brake operate reliably even under cryogenic temperature conditions.
