We developed an extensive product portfolio for the materials handling industry optimally adapted to the demands of leading manufacturers of packaging machinery. With some applications they request for specifically compact coupling designs. In part combinations with overload systems (also referred to as torque limiters and safety couplings) are used or couplings are combined with sprockets, belt pulleys, etc. Furthermore our programme includes clamping sets for packaging machines allowing for a reliable, space-saving shaft-hub-connection easy to assemble.
Since the individual processes in packaging machines such as supply of packaging materials, positioning the packaged goods, grouping, grasping, cartoning, shifting, labelling, sealing, etc. are closely interlinked and often clocked in extremely short cycles, accuracy and motion sequences are attached great significance. That is why backlash-free couplings are often used.
Depending on the demands set on factors such as torsional stiffness, damping of vibrations and shaft misalignment, various coupling series of our range are used, for example the backlash-free, torsionally flexible elastomer jaw coupling ROTEX GS, the backlash-free, torsionally stiff steel lamina coupling RADEX NC or the backlash-free, torsionally stiff metal bellow-type coupling TOOLFLEX.
To protect the drive train and subsequent machine components against overload, many manufacturers of packaging machines make use of our torque limiters, also referred to as overload systems or safety couplings. They limit the torque reliably uncoupling driving and driven side in the event of overload. The design engineer can choose from a range of different systems and series: RUFLEX torque limiters, KTR-SI overload systems and SYNTEX backlash-free overload systems. As an alternative free from wear we provide MINEX magnetic couplings. In addition combinations of shaft and safety couplings form part of our catalogue programme.
