Monitoring slip processes with the KTR Slipping Control

The task of load-holding safety couplings is to temporarily limit the load as long as the torque exceeds a limit and an overload can cause damage. It often remains unknown which conditions have led to an overload and how often a slip event has occurred. 

This is where the KTR Slipping Control takes action. The innovative slip monitoring system records every single slip process so that critical operating states can be recognised and assigned to the slip events. The system tracks when a slipping event has occurred, how many degrees and revolutions at which speed the coupling has slipped. By adding up the individual slipping events, it is also possible to recognise when the slipping element needs to be replaced. The data is stored in the small box and can be retrieved via smartphone app.
