The 36 different GIANT models find their way from the factory in Oisterwijk to buyers in 40 different countries, via an extensive dealer network. The products are used, among others, in the road construction, site maintenance and in agriculture and horticulture. For example, at Kees Burgmans Plantenkwekerij several GIANTS are used with the growing process of a wide assortment of plants for garden centres and gardeners. Apart from transporting potting soil and container plants the machines can also be used with the construction of greenhouses. “All our machines are standard equipped with a hydraulic quick-coupler system for quickly changing the various attachments. We can and want to supply everything that fits on the machine. We can even deliver several single- and double-operating functions straight from the factory”, says Hans Sterke, Purchase Manager at Tobroco Machines.”
The products of Tobroco are assembled in Oisterwijk in a twelve-metre high hall with two floors, whereby the highest possible quality standards are applied. By 2017 3,000 GIANTS are expected to be produced and the objective is to increase the production to 4,500 machines per year. Thanks to the state-of-the-art technology, continuous innovation and the best components of Kubota, Bosch Rexroth, Comer and KTR, the GIANT machines and attachments are produced with the greatest care, quality and commitment. The use of A-components is an important sales argument for us. All GIANTS are equipped with KTR couplings in the heart of the machine. A very important part. We like to work with KTR because of the product, the one-piece coupling, the cast housing and the reliability of the product. But also because of the cooperation and just-in-time thought. We have a great cooperation since many years”, according to Hans Sterke.
Conversely, KTR is also enthusiastic about the relationship with Tobroco. Sales Engineer Rob Peper: “It is just a great company with a real jeans culture, down to earth and with both legs firmly on the ground. One of these companies you are proud to work with.” Since 2003 KTR has been supplying couplings and the pump attachment flanges for all machines of Tobroco. “A large advantage of our MONOLASTIC® coupling is the fact that this is made from one piece. This simplifies and accelerates the assembly and this is often also the only solution with mainly smaller drives.” KTR is always early deployed in the development process of new machines. Rob Peper: “The challenge is always to be able to build as quick as possible and to make the most of standard components, in order to keep the price as low as possible.”
