RIGIFLEX® steel lamina couplings are used in all those applications which require a reliable and maintenance-free torque transmission with at the same time shaft misalignment. RIGIFLEX®-N has already gained a good reputation in the pump industry. This coupling system is in accordance with the standards of API 610 and can optionally be supplied in accordance with API 671 (API = American Petroleum Institute). The recently introduced new development RIGIFLEX®-HP, HP signifying high performance, now meets with such demands which could not be met to that extent by the classical RIGIFLEX®-N up to now. 20.08.2012 / ktr-us@ktr.com |

On the occasion of the ACHEMA KTR Rheine had introduced the new BoWex® GT curved-tooth gear coupling® for processing pumps for the first time worldwide the predecessor product of which has been used in drive technology for several decades. The coupling which has proven its worth in the chemical industry in many cases was designed for a shaft diameter up to 38 mm. 20.08.2012 / ktr-us@ktr.com |

For sizes SA 75/10 to SE165/24 of the MINEX®-S series KTR now offers containment shrouds made of the nylon material PEEK. Up to now the standard types of this coupling have only been available with containment shrouds made of metallic or ceramic materials. 20.08.2012 / ktr-us@ktr.com |

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (March 2, 2012) – KTR Corporation, a manufacturer of power transmission components, announced plans today to grow its North American headquarters here, creating up to 20 new jobs by 2014. The company, a subsidiary of German-based KTR Kupplungstechnik, GmbH, plans to invest $1.6 million to purchase CNC machinery and renovate its 42,000 square-foot manufacturing, warehousing and sales facility at 122 Anchor Road in Michigan City. KTR is excited to announce the launch of its very own mobile phone application. The new app features a quick select guide for seven of our most popular couplings accompanied by specific product information for each coupling. The app also contains a list of standard IEC motors sizes and outputs, with adjustable modes between 1500 and 3000 nominal rpm, which can be easily scrolled through to help select the appropriate coupling design and size for the job. The new app represents a desire by KTR to combine its tradition of high quality products and service with the technology of the modern high-tech business world. The app is available to download from the iTunes App store or at www.ktr-stop-and-go.com where you will also find information on two of our latest innovations: KTR-STOP® and T-PUR. 23.05.2011 / ktr-us@ktr.com |

The design of KTR-STOP® is based on an existing solution which has been further developed consistently. The materials of KTR-STOP® are corrosion-protected and therefore particu-larly suitable for the following application ranges:

After three years of intensive development work and long field tests the KTR engineers managed to revolutionize ROTEX® and as a consequence the coupling technology by the material T-PUR:

ROTEX curve jaw couplings are now listed with Underwriters Laboratories UL 448A, flexible couplings and connecting shafts for stationary fire pumps. This listing provides an easy to assemble curve jaw coupling for fire pumps systems conforming to NFPA 20 - Standard for Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection. In addition to adherence to UL’s stringent test criteria – which included operating the coupling at maximum torque and speed without the elastomeric element – the ROTEX® standard coupling provides:

KTR has supplemented the range of OAC Oil/air coolers by adding a design for marine applications. The rough environment of civil navigation does not allow the use of unprotected aluminium coolers on deck. The salty air would damage the cooler sooner or later. The OAC is protected against oxidation by KTL dipping varnish, even in the area between the laminas in the cooler grip which is not easy to access. 22.07.2010, ktr-us@ktr.com |

In order to extend the potential applications of couplings damping vibrations, a spider made from wire knitting was developped for our ROTEX coupling. The benefits of the knitted spiders mainly become obvious with applications in the high-temperature range of T > 120° C as well as applications in a corrosive environment, since stainless material is used. 14.06.2010, ktr-us@ktr.com |

With the BoWex® FLE-PAC, KTR Engineers have again improved the most well-known flange coupling for construction machinery with a hydrostatic drive. On the one hand the carbonic material of the flange allows for longer operating times, on the other the composite design enables a low-cost connection to the engine flywheels with special dimensions. 24.03.2010, ktr-us@ktr.com |

COUNTEX® Coupling An excellent design is characterized on the one hand by its simple and user-friendly handling and on the other hand by its reliable performance. Here COUNTEX® which was presented on the occasion of the Hannover Fair 2009 for the first time is the best example. 21.01.2010, ktr-us@ktr.com |

KTR as a specialist for couplings pays special attention to the demands and special requirements of the market of drive technology by permanently extending the production programme. In the range of backlash-free shaft couplings ROTEX® GS light is one of these extensions of the programme. The ROTEX® GS light clamping ring hub differs from the previous design mainly since it is fully made from aluminium. In this way the weight of ROTEX® GS light is considerably reduced and its mass moments of inertia are lower than those of the well-known design comprising a steel ring by 2/3. 09.11.2009 / KTR.Corp. / ktr-us@ktr.com |

The torsionally flexible ROTEX® jaw coupling has proven its worth on numerous applications for more than forty years. Now KTR has an innovation for the large ROTEX® coupling: The patented standard ROTEX® DZ does not have the well-known star-shaped elastomer spider, but the elastomer spider is rather divided up into individual segments with two teeth each. 28.08.2009 / KTR Corp./ ktr-us@ktr.com |

Shaft couplings in the drive train of Wind Turbine Generator Systems (WTGS) compensate for the offset between the gearbox and the generator. These couplings must allow a high degree of displacement as the gearbox and also the generator are generally seated on resilient dampers. 18.06.2009 KTR Corp / ktr-us@ktr.com
