KTR Corporation - Expanding North American Headquarters

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (March 2, 2012) – KTR Corporation, a manufacturer of power transmission components, announced plans today to grow its North American headquarters here, creating up to 20 new jobs by 2014.
The company, a subsidiary of German-based KTR Kupplungstechnik, GmbH, plans to invest $1.6 million to purchase CNC machinery and renovate its 42,000 square-foot manufacturing, warehousing and sales facility at 122 Anchor Road in Michigan City.

KTR makes a present to „Rheiner Tafel“ at Christmas time

On 5th December a cheque was handed over in the rooms of „Rheiner Tafel e. V.“ with the executive committee being present, i. e. Dieter Fühner, Ludger Schröer and Ludger Schulten, heads of the field ‘aid for securing livelihood’ as well as Franz Wiers, voluntary assistant of Rheiner Tafel, acting on behalf of Caritasverband Rheine (charity association). Dr. Mareike Reichert and Holger Klinge, KTR Kupplungstechnik Rheine, handed over 5,000 Euro in the form of a symbolic cheque.

Everything had been prepared according to the General Staff. When the signal for the move was given everybody of the more than 140 staff members exactly knew what to do. It took just three days until the complete administration of the Power Transmission specialist KTR was done with the move to the new office in the Carl Zeiss Street. „We have achieved our target, we have realized everything in a stringent way“, the CEO is pleased to mention.

Industrial management for large couplings / industrial gearboxes

Over the past few years the product portfolio of the company KTR Kupplungstechnik has been purposefully extended. In particular for manufacturers of industrial gearboxes and large plants, the existing coupling series were extended to a torque up to 1.2 million Nm.

Hoppenstedt Kreditinformationen GmbH has awarded KTR Kupplungstechnik GmbH the „TOP RATING 2011“ being a certificate for an excellent company performance. In total 4.5 million companies were rated only 3.3 % of which have been granted the grade „top rated“. The basis for the rating of companies is, apart from company data and details about payment history, the exposure in the range of financial management and the structure of business processes. Apart from demographic data all financial data that are available are incorporated in the rating of companies.
Apart from quality and reliability KTR is „TOP RATED“ in financial ranking, too.

On October 13, 2011, the WDR made a brief interview with our General Managing Director, Dr. Josef Gerstner, about the “Economic growth in Germany”. Despite the present externally controlled “Euro and debt crisis” as well as the recession in the USA Dr. Gerstner is confident of the future of KTR. With more intensive activities in trainings and educations in the company Dr. Gerstner brims over the lack of engineers and skilled workers.

DNV type approval certificate for GEARex®
|
Couplings of KTR Kupplungstechnik have been used successfully among others in the range of boat drives on all seas in the world for several years already. To make sure that GEARex® all-steel gear couplings may be used on boat drives having higher power, KTR has been granted with the type approval certificate by DNV for this series. Thus, the DNV type approval certificate for GEARex® for the sizes 10 to 120 covers the nominal performance range from 930 Nm to 1,050 kNm.

KTR Launches New Quick Select App!

KTR is excited to announce the launch of its very own mobile phone application.
The new app features a quick select guide for seven of our most popular couplings accompanied by specific product information for each coupling. The app also contains a list of standard IEC motors sizes and outputs, with adjustable modes between 1500 and 3000 nominal rpm, which can be easily scrolled through to help select the appropriate coupling design and size for the job.
The new app represents a desire by KTR to combine its tradition of high quality products and service with the technology of the modern high-tech business world.

ATEX Certificate for OAC Oil/Air Coolers
|
KTR has been awarded ATEX certification for its range of oil/air coolers for sizes OAC200 to OAC900 with 230V/400V fan drive and fan drive with hydraulic motor.
The approval is certified by the independent institute IBExU and is valid for all the above-mentioned sizes of the OAC oil/air cooler for
non-electric devices and components within the group I and II, device category M2, 2 and 3.

Couplings from KTR have been used in many industries including marine all over the world for many years. Cornerstone ceremony for a new KTR office building
|
Accompanied with the words “Good luck” the General Managing Director Josef Gerstner and the major shareholder Mareike Reichert laid the foundation stone of the new office building situated at Carl-Zeiss-Straße, Rheine on 1st October 2010. Franz Tacke, KTR’s founding father and former General Managing Director of F. TACKE KG, had already performed another tradition with the breaking of the first building block.

REACH= Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals
