125 years of TACKE

Bodo Risch, deputy chairman of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, presented the chairman of the advisory board, Mareike Reichert, and the general managing director of KTR, Josef Gerstner, with the anniversary certificate within the framework of a ceremony on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the company F. Tacke GmbH & Co. KG in Rheine.
Since its foundation in 1886 by Franz Tacke, grandfather of the correspondent „coupling fa-ther“ who founded the subsidiary company KTR Kupplungstechnik GmbH in 1959, F. Tacke GmbH & Co. KG has been engaged in the designing and construction of gearboxes and drive elements. During the starting time the emphasis of production were transmission plants and belt pulleys for the local textile industry using steam engines as a source of energy.

Today F. Tacke GmbH & Co. KG is acting as a financial holding company/parent com-pany of KTR Kupplungstech-nik GmbH.

KTR has more than 50 years of experience in drive tech-nology as a leading manufac-turer of couplings, brakes and components for stationary and mobile drive technology in the torque range from 1 to 1.000.000 Nm.
